  • Verily,  verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die,. It abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit (Jn 12:24).

Our Lord  Jesus  Christ  in this Scripture was speaking of the death. He must die to redeem and save us from sin. He first spoke of His glorification which will not happen until this death occur. He went further to raise this critical matter of dying to live as it affects us His disciples. No disciple is excepted from this death experience. It Is the per-requisite for inheriting eternal life. “He that loveth his life shall lose it, and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal” (Jn 12:25).

This death experience is one thing that the flesh, the human nature abhors and hates to hear. The doctrine of health and wealth as evidence and prove of a true Christian as preached and taught in our day are geared  toward opposing this Calvary experience. When Jesus raised this issue of His own suffering and death, Simon Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. An act I perceive the other disciples were in agreement with.

When this death to sin, the flesh and the world occur, Christ now live in and through this life, His own life. One can now confess and say like Paul, “It is no longer i that liveth but Christ Liveth in me “

  • “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirit whether they are of God because many false prophets are gone into the world”(1 John 4:1)

This all important scripture has been sacrificed at the altar of greed, covetousness and avarice by many believers, compromised by some other Christians and neglected by many children of God to the detriment of the precious faith they received from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But we will not give yup in warning saints to these wolves in sheep’s clothing. This is what this book aim to do and teach that you might not be deceived, but rather reminded and informed so as to overcome.

  • And as a fight,  you either fight a good fight aiming to win and not as a one that beats the air, with a right approach to take the kingdom by force, and not fighting with  defeatist mind and subdued spirit just to be in the fight and share in the spoil of war or fight to conquer and sing the song of victory with others.

To every true believer in Christ Jesus, a disciple, our Master will soon return to take us home to be with Him, or we return home by means of sleep by  death, we should bear in mind that the end thing is better than the beginning.

  • This is a revolutionary book that each time you read it you will be thrilled to tears and prayer, it is a book that will challenge and ignite you to  a deeper dedication, consecration and commitment to the lord. It is a missionary’ s menu.  Many have their reservation to a hear of a police man being and turning to God, because the police has already been noted heartlessness, brutalization of human lives, falsehood, wickedness and all forms of corrupt practices.

  • Some years ago,  I  was privilege to be invited to share  the gospel of our lord Jesus Christ in an outreach organized by the full Gospel Business-men’s Fellowships international for professional and Landlords.  As I waited on the Lord to receive from him what I would share together with the people, I was led to the book of II Kings 5 and given a message titled  “Honourable but in Trouble.”  God honoured his world in that meeting as many souls were saved by the Lord as they gave their lives.

In another special outreach organized by one denomination for  “Elites”  in a popular hotel at Aba, Abia State, Nigeria, I was equally led to repeat the same message  “Honourable but in Trouble” and the result was also great. On and on, I continued to be impressed in my spirit to use the same message until I saw it necessary to put the message into a book for better spreading.

Honour simply means: respect, frame or glory. It is a state where by someone is admired. It is such an enviable position in life that no one that attains it would not cherish it jealousy. Many things brings honour which includes good position in life, education, wealth, riches, intelligence, achievements and anointing, gift or grace at it concerns the ministers of the gospel.

But alas, many honourable people are not honourable indeed because of a serious “BUT” in their lives which impair their honour and bring them into disrepute.

  • Temptation is common to men, but overcoming temptation is uncommon to men. only few trust God to give them the way of escae and agree with him to help them temptation. Several people in the Christian faith do not believe that they can overcome temptation. They easily succumb to temptation and embrace the doctrine of fatalism when it comes to temptation. many confess that they are like fishes in the water therefore cannot deny water when it comes to sin and temptation.

But Jesus invitation to Simon Peter proves otherwise. “Fellow me and I will make you fisher of men” (mtt. 4:19). you  can be fished out of the waters of sin and temptation. it is what this book teaches.

  • Now that we have entered the beginning of the end of all things, no Christian man or woman should be satisfied with any Christian experience based on emotion, sentiments and outward show without inward experience cannot stand the test of time.

Many people, like the psalmist in (Ps. 85:4-8) have at one time or the other gotten revival, but it did  not last, and they are now crying for another one (v6) which may not last as well, But in the book, we shall see the steps that may lead us to a lasting and enjoying revival.

“Revival is not more a miracle than a crop of wheat, Revival comes from heaven when heroic souls enter the conflicts determined to win or die or if need be, to win and die.The kingdom of God suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force” Charles G. Finney.

And because of the state or condition of today’s Christianity, the need for revival is an urgent one. For true leadership in the Church of God, the Spirit  is looking for leaders who are more concerned about character than credit, faithfulness  than fame, righteous than recognition, serving than being served, purpose than prosperity. Purity than popularity.

He is searching for men and women who see their lives as an opportunity to fulfill their destiny, not an occasion to take advantage of the disadvantaged.

And where else can these be found? Through revival in the lives of God’s people.

  • “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made, comfortable unto his death, (phil 3:1)

This is an often quoted passage of the scripture by believers in Christ But the whole context of this scripture are not fully applied, obeyed and practiced by many. This is because many believers in Christ including minister and leader wants to know him (Christ) and the power of His resurrection but not the fellowship of His sufferings being made comfortable unto death.

As has been done to many passages in the holy write, many Christians only pick a part of the scripture that suits their lust and desires, the ones they are comfortable with, and off they go with it praying, fasting, screaming and even crying to God who Promise us to hold Him by His word to fulfill it. They forget that God has no business with half  truth. But who blames anyone who loves half truth? who delights in twisting and handling the word of God deceitfully, walking in dishonesty and craftiness?.

  • Life is Worthless if not properly lived, and useless if not useful to God and humanity. And to live is to be productive, useful, important and purposeful. Many people do not live, they just exist,  (Present in a place). They are present just there, but no one feels their presence. They pass through life a shadow without any impact,  legacy, donation or footprints in the sands of time. There is no reason for their living.

So as it pleased the lord to bring this matter and issue before us in this book,  it become of a necessity that we read and study to know and grasp firmly the reason that makes for living (and not just existing).

Going back to the foundation about God and all that He created, God was not Visionless, purposeless,  aimless; He created everything for a reason and not just for creating sake. “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light and there was light”. (Gen.1:1-3).

Light came because there was darkness. All other creature in this creation account of Genesis chapter one verse one to twenty five were for a purpose.  None is useless till today.

N creature no matter how small, tiny  or inconsequential is unimportant. In Genesis chapter one verse twenty six and chapter two verse seven. (Gen. 1:26, 2:7), we discover that man unlike other creatures, was made, not just an existing creature but a living soul. In this book, we shall press further to consider the various yardsticks for scripture. This obviously does not count in the duration and longevity but in donation to posterity, just existed long on the earth without any record to show forth up until the appearance of Enoch, who LIVED to break that inter generational  infirmity, and fulfilled the reason for living, having walked with God.

Discover one thing, others all died and were forgotten but Enoch never   “died”   rather  continued to live even up to the book of Hebrews. (Heb. 11:5)  through that of Jude.  (Jud. Vs. 14)  and to this present dispensation.

Do you have a reason for living?

  • A generation is  “a single stage in the descent of a family” (Complete Christian dictionary for home and school). A generation includes, Grandparents,  Parents, oneself and son or daughter.  A generation comes and goes. Everyone  born into this world belong to one generation or another.  No one lives in a generation and passes through it without giving something to it, consciously, knowingly or unknowingly, by omission or commission. In giving something to your generation , you are either a solution or a pollution , a remedy or a tragedy. An answer or a confronting humanity at large.

  • To fall does not make news or history. It can only make  story. It is to remain fallen that attracts people’s attention and creates history and news, But  even if your fallen made news, it is not new. Such have been happening. One philosopher said “The greatest glory of man is not in never falling but rising up anytime you fall  ” only one person cannot fall, and that is he who does nothing. YOU CAN RISE AGAIN.
