  • Verily,  verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die,. It abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit (Jn 12:24).

Our Lord  Jesus  Christ  in this Scripture was speaking of the death. He must die to redeem and save us from sin. He first spoke of His glorification which will not happen until this death occur. He went further to raise this critical matter of dying to live as it affects us His disciples. No disciple is excepted from this death experience. It Is the per-requisite for inheriting eternal life. “He that loveth his life shall lose it, and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal” (Jn 12:25).

This death experience is one thing that the flesh, the human nature abhors and hates to hear. The doctrine of health and wealth as evidence and prove of a true Christian as preached and taught in our day are geared  toward opposing this Calvary experience. When Jesus raised this issue of His own suffering and death, Simon Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. An act I perceive the other disciples were in agreement with.

When this death to sin, the flesh and the world occur, Christ now live in and through this life, His own life. One can now confess and say like Paul, “It is no longer i that liveth but Christ Liveth in me “

  • “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirit whether they are of God because many false prophets are gone into the world”(1 John 4:1)

This all important scripture has been sacrificed at the altar of greed, covetousness and avarice by many believers, compromised by some other Christians and neglected by many children of God to the detriment of the precious faith they received from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But we will not give yup in warning saints to these wolves in sheep’s clothing. This is what this book aim to do and teach that you might not be deceived, but rather reminded and informed so as to overcome.

  • The call to save the child is a priority, because the child is the person who is going to carry on what you have started. He is going to sit where you are sitting, and when you are gone, attend to those things which are important.THE fate of humanity is in their hands. We would not let them die because the are heritage of the Lord.

  • The King hath said, come down (II kings 1:7-9)

The Scripture text before us was an encounter between prophet Elijah the man of God, the messengers of king  Ahaziah the son of Ahab whom he sent to Ekron to inquire of Baal-Zebub the god of Ekron whether he shall recover of his disease and a captain of fifty soldiers with his fifty whom the king sent to arrest Elijah. The Israelite’s by this time were yet to recover from the ruins, destruction  and devastation brought about by the evil reign of king Ahab and his enfant terrible wife Jezebel who introduced the worship of Baal in Israel of God and influenced her husband king Ahab to do all manner of evil. Israelite under Ahab and Jezebel chose Baal For God, except  Elijah brought a revival and reawakening to His people who in repentance shifted their allegiance Baal back to God saying:

The Lord, He is the God

the Lord, He is the God

    (II kings. 18:39)

But soon after the death of King Ahab, his so king Ahaziah, who reigned in his stead had an accident by falling down through a lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria. Rather than go to God for healing for the wound and injures sustained from the accident thereby correcting the mistake  made by his late father Ahab, Ahaziah like Beltshazzar the son of Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon went further to do more evil than his father through he knew what happened ton his father for disobeying God. Ahab worshiped Baal who God used Elijah the prophet to destroy, but Ahaziah his son then went to Baal-Zebub, A higher idol to be introduced to Israel again. God who wouldn’t take chance had His servant Elijah at hand to stop the evil move by Ahaziah to save His people Israel from another circle of destruction, suffering and pain witnessed during the reign of Ahab. Ahaziah who was bent on following the evil steps and ways of his parents then decided to arrest and possibly kill Elijah to avoid what his father suffered in the hands of the prophet. What concerns us in this little pamphlet is not how the battle ended between God and King Ahaziah, the son of Ahab, but the command the king gave to Elijah through a captain of his fifty.

Thous man of God, the King hath said, Come down.

  • The chips are down. And two types of believers and Christians are now very obvious. It is no longer hidden. By Their fruits, they are known and seen. They are among us, but not with us, neither for us nor for the lord, bit for themselves. While rivers of living water, is flowing from true and genuine bellies, they are pot bellied as a result of making their their god. They mind earthly things, come for earthly things, struggle and fight for making money and gain. They are proud of what they should be ashamed of.

But it pleased the lord that both of them should grow together and co-exist, the wheat and the tares, the sheep and the goat, the active and the passive , the EAGLE AND THE VULTURE CHRISTIANS (An allegory), till the day of harvest and divine separation when every  one will go to his or her own place t spend eternity there. In these last days, when the Christians faith demands the highest consecration commitment and sacrifice, the vultures have dominated the scene, superimposing themselves in all nook and crannies of the faith, The faith therefore is in dire need and want of the eagles.

So,  For the purpose of identification, understanding , encouragement, doctrine, teaching and instruction in righteousness, this small book is written. Not to despise, embarrass nor judge anybody, but to at least know who is who when lives are exhibited and characters showcased. This will help one to be ware watchful and careful that in nothing, should you and me, be offended.

  • And as a fight,  you either fight a good fight aiming to win and not as a one that beats the air, with a right approach to take the kingdom by force, and not fighting with  defeatist mind and subdued spirit just to be in the fight and share in the spoil of war or fight to conquer and sing the song of victory with others.

To every true believer in Christ Jesus, a disciple, our Master will soon return to take us home to be with Him, or we return home by means of sleep by  death, we should bear in mind that the end thing is better than the beginning.

It is a missionary’ s menu.  Many have their reservation to a hear of a police man being and turning to God, because the police has already been noted heartlessness, brutalization of human lives, falsehood, wickedness and all forms of corrupt practices.

  • Be it known to you that the number of years you have spent here on earth shows the number of years  you have been sharing and enjoying God’s grace. You cannot deny this. But have you allowed grace to do his full work in your life ?. if not now , eternity shall reveal it and tell in the story. Receive the salvation which grace brought and sit down and be taught by grace on how to deny ungodliness and worldly lust and live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world. This matter of what grace brought and teaches cannot be over emphasised. It is what preacher and teacher should preach and teach. (Titus 2:11, 12,15)

  • Some years ago,  I  was privilege to be invited to share  the gospel of our lord Jesus Christ in an outreach organized by the full Gospel Business-men’s Fellowships international for professional and Landlords.  As I waited on the Lord to receive from him what I would share together with the people, I was led to the book of II Kings 5 and given a message titled  “Honourable but in Trouble.”  God honoured his world in that meeting as many souls were saved by the Lord as they gave their lives.

In another special outreach organized by one denomination for  “Elites”  in a popular hotel at Aba, Abia State, Nigeria, I was equally led to repeat the same message  “Honourable but in Trouble” and the result was also great. On and on, I continued to be impressed in my spirit to use the same message until I saw it necessary to put the message into a book for better spreading.

Honour simply means: respect, frame or glory. It is a state where by someone is admired. It is such an enviable position in life that no one that attains it would not cherish it jealousy. Many things brings honour which includes good position in life, education, wealth, riches, intelligence, achievements and anointing, gift or grace at it concerns the ministers of the gospel.

But alas, many honourable people are not honourable indeed because of a serious “BUT” in their lives which impair their honour and bring them into disrepute.
